There is no doubt that currently almost everything on the internet is becoming image-driven. If you think for a moment, it is only really catching up with print – magazines have been image-heavy for many years now. We seem to relate better to images than to text, even display headlines don’t engage us and draw us in as effectively as a relevant image – as Frederick R. Barnard quoted from a Chinese proverb: ‘A picture is worth ten thousand words’.
